total nuclear super nova-sized failure.
Yet Other Star People shinned through it all.
In 1995 Jennifer Precious Finch and Xander Smith raised their friendship to the next level – they formed a new-wave dance band called Lyme. Soon after, the duo found dance music equipment too expensive and returned to what they did best – hard-driving, indie pop / new wave with real instruments. They enlisted the help of bassists Junko Ito and Ted Lesinski and drummers Chris Bratton and Todd “Long Player” Phillips, reimagined the project as

In 1999 they released “Diamond in the Belly of the Dog” on A&M records – Produced by Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, David Bowie, Trex)
They made music and toured the world w/ Weezer, Queens of the Stoneage, Foo Fighters, and
Echo & the Bunnymen.
